A long, long time ago I started a site in german language that was all about bookmarks. It is called lesezeichenladen.de which means bookmark shop – not bad for a domain name…
I set up a little bit of history information about bookmarks and used amazon to show some pretty bookmarks and so on. Just to make it complete, I created a bookmark with flowers and took pictures of the work in progress and thus created a step by step instruction on creating a beautiful bookmark (Blumen-Lesezeichen basteln).
After a while, my site had been up and running for about a year, I noticed that the structure of the visits to my site had changed – more and more people did not come to my site because they were looking for bookmark related content but because they wanted to do handicrafts with flowers or blossoms!
